Light and easy
I like that the tiller is light and folds up to save on storage. In the past, my husband has used heavier gas tillers to prep our garden and they always end up being a hassle. He also hates the smell of exhaust. So when this tiller became available, I just knew we had to try it.Out of the box, the tiller, did not require much assembly and I worked better than expected. We got beautiful rows to plant our fruits and veggies. The tiller kicked up some dirt clots and small rocks so I would recommend using a face shield. We have to be mindful of the cord while using it, but it is a good trade off to keep our lungs clean. My reviews are based on my experiences with the product, not on my status as a Viner. Well-built with impressive runtime
The media could not be loaded. This cordless tiller from the Danero brand assembled easily. It contained easy-to-read instructions and ample safety warnings as everyone needs to be aware when operating power machinery.I have been using an AC powered tiller/dethatcher and was curious how this one would compare and was pleasantly surprised. It is every bit as powerful as the AC tiller with the added convenience of being cord-free.The biggest surprise is the run time. I used two different off-brand DeWalt compatible "6 amp" batteries which have approximately 5 amps of actual capacity. I tilled an entire long garden row and three other areas of my back yard and was surprised that the batteries showed over 75% charged when through. The brushless motor certainly helps achieve that. The gear box and power transfer must also be well-designed for low friction as well. The label says it produces 92db of sound, but it did not sound that loud at all especially outdoors. The unit is well-built and light enough to make using it a breeze. Decades ago I used a medium-sized gas powered tiller and remember how hard it was to use – and I was fit back then. Now this cordless Danero tiller really makes yard work easy again. The brushless motor runs off 10-cell lithium Ion batteries at 36 – 40V DC by connecting two 5-cell batteries in series. The two batteries must be DeWalt 20V or compatible. For best results the batteries should be matched (matched amperage and matched vendor). There is a connector plug between the batteries that is inserted to complete the series connection. This connector plug is also a kill switch that you remove whenever cleaning vines or roots from the tines.I used a long handle (24-inch) pruning sheers to cut roots wrapped around the tines. Then using a second pair of long handle needle nose pliers you can remove roots without ever getting your hands near the tines. This Danero brand tiller is a well-made and thought-out garden tool that will make yard work a whole lot easier.

👁️ Surprisingly Powerful for Battery Operated and Great for Small Garden Projects
✅ Practical Testing and Honest Impressions:As a contractor who heavily invests in DeWalt batteries, I was drawn to this unit for its compatibility. Even though it’s listed under Denero, the model I received was branded MELLIF, which caused some initial confusion. That said, it worked just fine with all my DeWalt 20V batteries up to 6.0Ah...though flex volt batteries didn’t fit. After a simple assembly process, I was up and running quickly. I was honestly surprised by how well this tore through clay and firmer soil, even though it’s clearly not a gas-powered beast.✏️ What to Know in 30 Seconds:• Compatible with DeWalt & Mellif 20V Max batteries (4.0Ah or higher recommended)• Supports up to 6.0Ah DeWalt batteries (tight fit, but works)• NOT compatible with DeWalt FlexVolt batteries• 14.2” tilling width and 8.7” max depth with 8.1” diameter blades• Safety lock + auto shut-off below 14.4V• Weighs just under 20 lbs; folds for compact storage• Batteries and charger not included📝 Design and Build:The plastic used feels average...not heavy-duty, but acceptable for this price point. Assembly took a little time but was fairly straightforward. The battery door hinge works, but feels a bit weak, and the latch could be improved. The overall footprint is compact and the tiller folds easily for storage.🧐 Practical Use:For a small garden, this is honestly a very capable machine. It tore through the top 4 inches of my clay-heavy soil better than expected. The adjustable wheels give you good control over the depth. I wouldn’t use this on rock-hard ground, but for reseeding, cultivating, and mixing soil in raised beds or small plots, it’s perfect. The cordless convenience and lightweight design make it a grab-and-go solution that skips the headache of gas and oil.⭐️ Advantages:• Cordless convenience with long runtime (maybe ~2 hours continuous use with dual 6.0Ah??)• Compatible with DeWalt batteries (except FlexVolt) (Manufactures lists 4.0Ah and above, however)• Lightweight and compact• Surprisingly strong performance in clay and tougher soils• Adjustable wheel height for better control⚠️ Considerations:• Confusing branding (listed as Denero, arrived as MELLIF)• Build materials could be more rugged• Battery compartment hinge feels a little flimsy• Battery and charger not included• Not ideal for hard rocky soil✅ Best For:Homeowners with existing DeWalt batteries who want a convenient, cordless tiller for small gardens, raised beds, or reseeding patches without the hassle of fuel.📌 In Conclusion:This tiller impressed me more than I expected. While it has a few quirks and is clearly not meant for commercial or heavy-duty use, it’s a great lightweight, battery-powered solution that works well for everyday gardening tasks. Add in the DeWalt battery compatibility, and it’s a smart addition for small-scale needs.⭐ Star Rating: ★★★★☆ (4.2)Honest, detailed, and unbiased reviews ensure that every purchase may be completed with confidence.
