Makita 424131-5 Brake Ring

This brake, 424131-5, may work fine for some sander(s), but not the Makita BO3050. Unfortunately, the manual for my Makita BO3050 random orbit sander was printed in 1999. The brake is shown in the parts diagram, but there is no part number for it. The inner ring is too large and the outer ring is too large. The issue with the inner ring was noted by another reviewer who also bought 424131-5. He did not identify which sander he had. From an on-line source, I have found the original part number for the BO3050 brake, which is 416062-2. This is now an obsolete part. The current part number for the brake is 421866-9. So, I should have ordered brake 421866-9 rather than brake 424131-5. It would be helpful if the sellers of parts such as this one, could indicate which models it is designed for.

The center portion of brake ring has very little contact surface with the center rotating hub of the motor. It needs to be made a little smaller diameter wise.
