Franco was an a$$ to Samantha in the beginning but Samantha gave it back to him. He fell hard and became so good to her. He was patient but was brutal to the people that tried to hurt her. Th epilogue was my favorite with the children. Loved this story

I read the first book in the series with Angelo and Victoria. I was so excited to start reading this one, and I was not disappointed!!! Franco is both a killer and a caring man. His love for samantha feels right. Samantha is so strong, and the trauma she endured before she met Franco is a woman's worst nightmare. Franco finds an inventive way to get around her emotional wall, and the scenes when he reveals himself were so heartbreaking. I love this couple, but the banter between Franco and his men and the other heads of the Mafia is priceless!!!! Bro, love is definitely in bloom. And what Franco does to Samantha's ex-boyfriend is chef's kiss!!! This is a great series, and I can't wait to start book 3.

It’s not just that they’re both so mushy they’re unlikeable, it’s the ridiculous plot and how messed up the story was about her trauma.It’s like the author tried to see how many trends and tropes she could mash together. Mafia, masked stranger, sex club, mean boss, abusive ex, mafia wars, small town sweet parents, sexual trauma, torture, and tattooing.It’s trying to do so much the characters are flat, the sex is boring, and the cozy cheerful HEA made me want to barf.The only vivid parts were the grotesque flashbacks of the abuse by her ex, and that’s just wrong.Not recommended.

This book hit a lot of marks. Romance, kink, mafia, villains (cheered when Todd was buried alive) and happily ever after.

This book has it ALL! The plot is thick. An enemies to lovers and HEA! Ah!Spice doesn’t hit until about 70% into the book, but because the plot is so good it doesn’t really feel like that much of a slow burn. It is WORTH the wait! 🥵I was really thrown back by what happened to Samantha and why she was at Paradiso. I loved that Franco wanted to step in and protect her. Her “mystery man” was amazing.*possible spoilers below*My ONE frown moment was that as soon as Samantha learned who mystery man was, it was almost like the story became a whole other story. I felt like the trauma she went through was sort of just “gone”? I know Franco helped with the Todd situation but for them to go straight into this hot and spicy romance it didn’t seem like her trauma was real. I know she felt safe with Franco but I really felt like it was a rush to get into the smut and there wasn’t enough emphasis on what she went through. I also wanted MORE of their relationship, but the book wraps up so quickly.Great read!!!!

I absolutely loved this book. BUT it ended way way to soon! I want more& to know what happens! But the author did a very good job! I think she should make a 2nd book with this one!
