The media could not be loaded. I started browsing fabric steamers on Amazon. I didn't need anything particularly elaborate or expensive. All I wanted was a product that would be small enough that I could throw it in my luggage and when I reached my destination, could be used to take out the small wrinkles that formed during transport.The ABYON/MEILI steamer seemed to have a decent amount of positive Amazon reviews, so I chose it blindly. It arrived two days later, and prior to my trip, I put it to the test to see if it really was capable of removing small wrinkles from my clothing.I have attached a video of my initial efforts and I am pleased to say that it worked rather well.The steamer is certainly compact, which is what I wanted. It should take up minimal room in your luggage. It also comes with an ample amount of cord length so you are not tied to steaming your garments wherever the plug outlet is located.All one needs to do from unpacking to steaming is to fill the reservoir with water to the MAX line, plug it in, turn it on and wait for about 1.5-2 minutes for the water to come to a boil and the steam to start spouting. Be very careful to keep the steamer level, not tipping it forward, otherwise, water will dump out of the nozzle.With a steady stream of steam at my disposal, I simply moved the steamer up and down across the wrinkled portions of my shirt. Within five minutes I was able to remove the more prominent wrinkles. The steamer worked as advertised!I didn't use distilled water, which I am certain is recommended. However, when traveling, who wants to bring distilled water with them? One is at the mercy of having to use the bathroom sink in the hotel room.I am very pleased that I no longer have to rely on a garment bag to keep my clothes wrinkle-free. I can now take shirts and pants I have folded out of my luggage and steam out the small creases that formed while traveling.I didn't even mention yet that this steamer comes with its own carrying pouch -- which I think is a nice added touch.I hope the video that I have provided below gives you somewhat of an idea of how well this steamer works. I think it's a solid product and I highly recommend it!

I adore this little steamer! It works SO WELL! Because our current house is pretty small, we don't have a ton of extra room for an ironing board, so this portable little steamer has come in really handy! It heats up so fast and really gets all the wrinkles out—a delight when you realize that the clothing material wouldn't even be compatible with an iron. There's almost no learning curve to using this product; the design is incredibly simple. Just open the top, fill it up with water, replace the top and turn it on! I will say that after using it for a few weeks, I do find that filling up the water reservoir about 2/3 full instead of straight up to the fill line keeps one from getting any water spots on your article of clothing... So if you have several items to steam, you will have to refill it sooner than if you filled it to top of the fill line.Because this item is so compact, I'm very excited to take it with me on my next trip and have wrinkled clothing be a worry of the past!

I had a steamer already, but it is kind of big and clunky, and it takes a while to heat up. The Abyon heats up really quickly, and is very small and light-weight. I will definitely take it on my next trip. I can see this working very well for business people that travel a lot. It throws out a lot of steam, so you'll have to replace the water often. That is one of my complaints. I used it on a few shirts and it certainly got the wrinkles out. On some of my dress shirts that are made of a very thin wrinkly material it had a little trouble, but in all fairness, those shirts wrinkle if you tap them with your pinky finger. It worked great on my dress pants. For the price, I think it works well for travel, but for home use, I would probably go with one of the bigger units.

I am very pleased with the results from the Meili fabric steamer. I did not need a mitt or fabric heat backer, I just read the instructions and used common sense. I used it for steaming my daughter's white satin wedding dress, which I hung from the shower rod and proceeded to do the job. The product was attractively designed, simple to use, and would be small enough to fit in a suitcase for travel, along with its nice travel bag. It did the job and the price was great too. I used distilled water. At first it did have a little splatting when it started up but if you wait a few minutes that will subside and it did not leave a mark on the dress when it dried. I also almost bought another steamer at the state fair (which I did not buy) before finding this product and it was marketed at $90, so the price for this product was great and I am happy with its performance. It arrived on the day that they said it would.
