Attached it to a stud in my home gym and it holds my 2-inch 30-foot rope just fine. The little level that comes with it is handy. I did replace the hardware that came with it, and used my own lag screws, washer, and split ring washer to secure it a bit better than the included hardware would have.Over all good product
