Like with any dye. Be careful wear gloves, and a mask.
I got this for dyeing fabric & yarn. I used linen and wool fabric, and wool and silk yarn and thread. I got the most glorious shade of red orange on the wool fabric. I got kind of a pinky red on the linen fabric and got various shades of red and orange on the wool and silk. I understood this is not what the product advertised but it worked really well!

A zip lock would have been nice.
The package does not state madder root.

Really enjoying the experience 🤩
I ordered the manjistha powder. I made a clay mask for my face with it & some aloe Vera leaf powder & water. It was excellent. I used so little, I look forward to it again. After a thorough gentle gel cleanse followed by a good quality scrub, steam & clay mask, my skin felt very clean and smooth and any pain from blemishes ceased immediately (That’s 1 of my fave benefits of the manjistha powder, it’s simple to mix & it’s a beautiful color. The complimentary tea bags with my purchase is lovely, I’m interested in checking out more tea from this company for its delicious. Thank you.

Didn't work for me.
I don't know if this was a product issue or just a misuse issue on my part. I had a soap recipe that called for using madder root for coloring soap red. I did not like the color that came out it was more of a rust color than red. But again that could have been my problem or at least my recipes problem.

Turned my face red!
This really is good, potent stuff. Definitely works if you want to dye a fabric red.But I made the 1st mistake of not adding milk/yogurt to the powder for making face-pack out of it. And then 2nd stupid mistake of not testing it on my wrist before painting my face with it.Whoa! I ended up with a RED face! Good thing I work from home, otherwise they'd think I was in some "solar accident" LOL. Anyway, I had to rub on some lemon juice to lighten it up-EEKS! But then it naturally faded away in two days. So, do beware... this Manjistha is THAT GOOD!
