My sister and I remember these ceramic trees from our childhood. Our aunt had one and we were mesmerized by it. We have been searching for them online. I have been surprised by how expensive they are ... even when the seller admits to missing pieces, chips, cracks, etc. I found this tree and all of the accompanying pieces (twists, star, light kit) and decided to try my hand at painting my own. I received the tree very quickly. Everything was packed beautifully. I have now applied two coats of pearl (white) acrylic paint and the tree is GORGEOUS! I plan to seal it today and give it to my sister as a surprise. I will be ordering another soon for myself...and more after that to make them for my adult kids. The tree is just like those I remember from my childhood.

Tree arrived as described. Trying to find a vintage one is hard so I ordered 2 of thesem one for me and one for a friend. I don't have a kiln, but you really do not need one. I painted with forrest green acrylic paint and lightly brushed gold metallic paint over it to give it the vintage look. The other tree ( not pictured) was also painted forrest green with silver metallic lightly brushed over it. After that i sprayed with Modge Podge acrylic sealer and they both turned out beautiful.

Very well made and easy to paint and wire for lighting.

More light variety was available. The tree is perfect, great price, we made two and they're great except too many blue and green lights, not enough red, yellow, and maybe clear or frosted.

I ordered 2 of these Christmas trees intending for them to be gifts. My kids helped paint them and glaze them. Unfortunately after all the work was done and we put it on the base, we realized it was very, very crooked. Had I noticed before painting I would have exchanged it. Look at it closely before investing time in painting it if you order.

This started off as therapeutic while painting after being unwell for many months. A nostalgic gift for a very dear friend. Nearly complete and ready to add lights. The pine cones do not fit. The stems are at least 1/16th” plus too big. Every single one. The seller feedback is to use a crafter trick and file them down. Each and every teeny tiny one. I’m guessing about 50 of them. What started off as a lovely project has turned awful as this was supposed to be a gift. I now have to spend hours to try to file down all these tiny lights. How about quality control. Supplying lights that fit. I made my first one as a child with my grandma and the lights fit and still do!!!! An easy five star went to one and would prefer zero.

If you love these, you will love this one. It will be perfect with my vintage Christmas stuff. Arrived quickly, was packed safely, and is just what I wanted. I used Cermacoat acrylic paint and ModPodge luster sealer, and hot glued the lights in. It was a very enjoyable project and I would love to do another.

I love the Christmas Tree, it was fun to paint and it reminds me of the one my Grandmother had... The only problem I have with this item is the light that comes with it was not put together. You have to wire it yourself????? I'm sure it isn't hard to do, but I am not an electrician and didn't want to have to watch youtube video's to figure out how to do this.would I buy this again, only if the lighting was put together.
