This was not of the "slinky" type synthetic that easily "slides" and scoots off the head sometimes. It is, instead, a cotton-feeling-and-looking (but still doubtless polyester?) fabric that reminds me of a comfortable T-shirt. I was pleasantly surprised at this; and find it in that aspect to exceed my expectations. Highly recommend for the price.
